Bishop Reginald D. Jordan, a native of Fort Worth, Texas was born June 23, 1964. He was reared on the city’s south side by his mother, Doris Hines, along with his brother and sister.  He is a product of the Fort Worth Independent School District, graduating from R. L. Paschal High School in 1982. Bishop Jordan later attended Texas Wesleyan University.

In 1991, Bishop Jordan began pastoring the St. John Baptist church in Greenville, Texas where he served for 2 years.  Hearing the call of God, Bishop Jordan returned to Fort Worth. On March 10, 1996, The Inspiring Temple of Praise Church was founded in his home with 12 members.  Due to a continual increase in membership, ITOP moved from the home into a storefront facility. In 1998, an abandoned warehouse was purchased and transformed into a beautiful 27,000 square foot edifice, currently located at: 2010 E. Lancaster Avenue.

Under Bishop Jordan’s leadership, the ministry has spanned for over two decades and has touched countless lives.  ITOP continues to serve as one of the most prominent, predominately African American ministries in the city of Fort Worth.

The Inspiring Temple Of Praise Church, has produced a live recording and released a CD titled: “Be Inspired” and has been a catalyst for successful businesses launched by the membership. The ITOP Corporation has created and sustained several Not-for-Profit entities.

ITOP Christian Academy was established in 2010 to serve as a Christian education institution in Fort Worth, becoming one of the only African American schools in the city to be locally and nationally accredited.

Bishop Jordan has been blessed to achieve a number of accomplishments: being installed as the Tarrant County District Overseer of The Full Gospel Baptist Fellowship International in 2004; founder of Churches in Covenant in 2007;  consecrated to the office of Bishop in 2006; and assimilation to the College of Bishops in the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship in 2017.

A prolific writer, Bishop Jordan has penned five books to date:

“Oh, That I May Know Him”

“Joy to the Seventh Power”

“Revealing the Hidden Truth about Transparency”

“In the Thick of It”

“Pulpit vs. Pew”

Bishop Jordan has a quest for life and relationships.  He is an avid Harley Davidson owner and rider, drawing bikers to worship at ITOP every 4th Sunday for what is known throughout the city as “Biker’s Sunday”.

Of all Bishop’s accomplishments in life, what is most important to him is family.  He is the proud husband of Lady Kamela Jordan and the father of four beautiful daughters: Anita, Vivian, Briahna and Harlee. He is also a proud grandfather.

Throughout his life and ministry Bishop Jordan has demonstrated the ability to lead with character, strength and love.  He is a teacher, husband, pastor, father, Man of God, Preacher, brother and friend. He is a caring and loving man who always ends his conversations with “I love you to life, I love for real and there is nothing you can do about it.” He is a man after God’s own heart; a Shepherd who diligently oversees and loves those whom God has given to his charge. He thoroughly enjoys the praise, worship and celebration of the Most High God. God has truly blessed the Inspiring Temple of Praise Church family and the entire Body of Christ with one of His very best in the anointed, gifted and divinely appointed person of Bishop Reginald D. Jordan.
